On my BMX everyone once in a while the bearings dont catch the wheel or something?
What happens as far as i can see is when im riding everyone once in a while (it just started happeneding and it doesnt happen VERY often) while im peddaling (usually after i pedal backwards) the pedals just spin and it doesnt “power” the bike. Its a mongoose bike. I can’t find anyhting wrong with the chain or bearing but that doesnt mean its not there.

Sprocket or crank. Or just a crappy bike.. unless is a pro mongoose its more than likely the sprocket, chain, or rear hub/driver. If its a wal-mart bike its a piece of crap. to buy a decent bike. Get a KINK GAP 2009 or KINK TRANSITION BIKE 2009. The best bike for beginners Cody200694
I work on bikes as part of my job, both construction and repair. The problem that you have is in the rear hub. It is most likely the freewheel component which allows the rear wheel to spin while you are not peddling. Some times these fail to reengage after freewheeling therefore your peddling does nothing. The part is about $15-$30 and requires the removal of the rear sprocket to change it out. Replacing this component is cheaper than replacing the bike. Brian
